The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream: Review

There are certain impulsive purchases that I’ve made in the past that have worked for me at times and the rest.. well.. let’s just say I’ve regretted investing money in some of them. One such purchase I made, based on my amazing experience with The Body Shop Strawberry Shower Gel was The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream. When you take a guy to a store like TBS and he hurries you till you give up, impulsive purchases do happen and oh boy! oh boy! this spontaneous purchase a good one!!

Packaging: The body cream comes in a standard transparent bottle with a flip open cap and a label with information on it.

The Shower cream, true to it’s name is creamy in consistency and is smooth in texture. It definitely feels more hydrating and nourishing than the Strawberry Shower Gel and is a perfect product to use in the shower during winters. If you have extremely dry skin, then this will also work in summers. If you have skin that is not extremely dry, then this shower cream can be reserved for winters since it is very creamy and rich.

The body cream, despite being soap free, lathers very well. I also use it once a week with my The Body Shop Exfoliating Gloves and my skin feels smooth, supple and clean.

The fact that it does not contain soap is a huge plus for all those of you with sensitive skin but the strong fragrance might be bothersome.

There are certain fragrances the completely transport you to nirvana and The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower cream’s fragrance is one of them. It has a nutty-vanilla scent that lingers on for about an hour or two after bathing. Sometimes I find the candy lover in me wanting to bite off a part of my hand or leg thanks to the yummy scent. Well, I would have licked the creamy body wash till the bottle was empty, considering it looks like a less creamy version of butterscotch cream,  but sadly it says not for consumption on the label. 😀
The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream: Swatch

What I like:

  • The nourishing, hydrating aspect
  • The scent; the nutty-vanilla fragrance is awesome!
  • The shower cream is soap free and lathers well despite that
What I dislike:
  • The long ingredients list and the fact that it contains SLS

Rating: 4.5/5

Final Word: The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream is luscious, rich and smells heavenly! A definite repurchase product for me!
