Skincare Haul: Back to Work Essentials

“I regret taking such good care of my skin.” – said no one ever!

I may not be able to control my endless spending on makeup but I make some wise choices when it comes to skincare. *smart at times, impulsive otherwise*

Here’s why I decided to “invest” in good skincare. Apart from my teeny-tiny business venture, I’m back to the rigorous routine of a 9 to 6 job.

The air conditioning at work and the fact that I wear makeup to work every day made me rethink my skincare routine. Needless to say, this lead to shopping for a few “essentials”.

Air conditioning damages the skin. It makes our skin dry and dehydrated. I say “our” because I’m sure all of you can relate to this. I have dry and dehydrated skin and it was just getting worse.

Thanks to Swati, who sent me a picture of The Face Shop masks she picked up, I wanted to try them as well. As usual Amazon came to the rescue. Bought 7 sheet masks for 80 INR each. I tried the Avocado mask last weekend and I love it. My skin instantly felt hydrated and soft. The Pomegranate one is Mommy approved! Can’t wait to try the rest!

If you had asked me a year back if I would have spent 2500 INR on a makeup remover, I would have given you a stare, then burst into laughter for asking that question. The answer would have negative. Nada. Never.

Wait… That was a year back. Presenting, the most expensive makeup remover I’ve ever owned – Clinique Take The Day Off makeup remover. 2500 bucks for a makeup remover sounds insane but trust me, this particular one is amazing and it looks like it will last me foreverrrrr. Love it so far and a review with a demo will be up soon.

When I talk about skincare, of course, Juicy Chemistry has to be a part of it. I absolutely love the Argan and Rose day serum and this one is a repurchase. I use this as soon as I wash my face in the morning, wait for my skin to absorb all the goodness and then apply makeup. Price: 400 INR for 10ml

I also bought the Amla, Apricot and Almond Leave in Conditioner. This was an impulsive purchase since my dry hair was crying out loud for some TLC. Price: 350 INR

When I received the package, there was a wooden spoon and an inner cover for the Leave in Conditioner. The inner cover came separately since the product was sealed using aluminium foil sheet. This is how the inner cover and the lid of the conditioner looked.

I have no idea if the stains on the inner cover and the burnt texture on the lid are something I should be concerned about. Do leave your thoughts in the comment section below.

That’s it for now. Ciao!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned above? Your thoughts?
