Prakriti Herbals Revitalizing Shampoo and Nourishing Hair Oil: Review

Honestly, I try and stay away from skin/hair care brands and keep away from experimenting with different brands. But when Prakriti Herbals sent me a few products for review and when I used them for the first time, I  knew these were quality products!!

You can read all about Prakriti Herbals here. For more information you can visit their website here and shop for their products at

Today ill be reviewing the Nourishing Hair Oil and Revitalizing Shampoo.

Price: INR 120 for 60 ml of the shampoo and of hair oil each

First let me talk about the Shampoo. The first time I used the shampoo I had a little hairfall (maybe due to a change in shampoo??) but then after the frst two washes there was no hairfall. The shampoo (after the use of the oil) made my hair so soft that there wasn’t a need to condition my hair.

When I used it without the oil, my hair wasn’t as soft as when used after that but it was still soft. That said, this is like a huge deal for me since I have curly, extremely dry, frizzy hair so I was thoroughly impressed with the shampoo.
The oil, yes, it is really good and when used with the shampoo makes my hair really soft. Generally fenugreek and hibiscus are known to make the hair soft so a plus point here are the ingredients used. It doesn’t make my hair feel sticky but my hair does feel al ittle heavy after using this.

There are a few things I have to point out here though, the first being that both are of  the same quantity and are priced equally. A hair oil being priced at 120 INR is expensive for that quantity.

Secondly, although the shampoo is of excellent quality, the quantity again poses a problem here. The quantity is less for the price we pay and it hardly lasts for 4 to 5 washes. And when the oil is used the shampoo has to be used atleast twice or thrice to get rid of the oil from the hair.

The packaging for the shampoo is okay but a flip open cap kind of packaging just doesn’t work for the oil. There is a lot of spillage.

Quality-wise the products are amazing and I loved both the shampoo and the oil but the pricing points and the packaging were the only problems I had.

Final Word: The shampoo is awesome and so is the oil. But if you had to try any one go for the shampoo!! It not only makes your hair soft and less frizzy, but also prevents hairfall.

Product sent by the brand PR for review purpose. All the opinions stated above are my own.

I have extremely thick hair so heavy and sticky oils are very difficult to wash off 🙁 so i prefer a light non sticky oil..

The pink shampoo is a good buy! 😀

a flip cap for an oil is troublesome indeed. shampoos sounds really good though. lovely review 🙂
