Weekly Ramblings: Nature Photography, Batman v Superman and more!

Hello!

I’m back with another round of Weekly Ramblings. This week it’s all about photography, movies and heartbreak.

I’ve spoken quite a bit on my love for nature photography. Now that I am a proud owner of a DSLR, my love for nature photography has become more of an obsession. Here are some unedited pictures I took recently.

I’m no expert but I’m making progress. I had posted pictures I had taken on my point and shoot camera in 2013. Looking back at those, I definitely feel I’ve improved. The learning curve is always progressive, isn’t it?

Recently I had posted one of my clicks on Instagram. This picture was taken on Microsoft Lumia 640XL late in the evening and a suitable filter was used. I’m obsessed I tell you!

Speaking of obsession, if you’ve read my previos Weekly Rambling posts, you’d know by now that I’m a complete 100% movie buff. Last Thursday, I had a movie date with my hubby dearest and we watched two movies back-to-back.

Kapoor and Sons was such a heartwarming family drama! I did not have any expectation when we started watching the movie but as the movie neared completion, I was convinced that this is one of the finest family dramas ever! The cast comprised of some fine actors like Rajat Kapoor, Ratna Pathak Shah and Rishi Kapoor but Fawad Khan stole the show. After watching Khoobsurat, I assumed maybe he is just another cute guy who would be “the one” for chick flicks but I was completely wrong in thinking so. While I’m obsessed with Siddharth (my kind of cute guy), Fawad stole the show. A must watch movie!

The second movie we watched was Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Unlike Kapoor and Sons, I had high expectations for this one and somehow I wasn’t too happy with the movie when I left the theatre. When two superheroes come together, it should be double the energy, a crisp screenplay and a suitable story that would justify the “versus” in the title. The title makes us believe that both are against each other but the reason and the fight between the two superheroes wasn’t convincing.

After watching and loving Christian Bale as Batman, it was hard for me to accept a tired worn out Batman portrayed by Ben Affleck but his acting skills definitely cannot be questioned since he played his part really well. I was disappointed with Henry Cavill though. His performance in this movie wasn’t as good as Man of Steel. Leaving all the disappointments aside, I have to say, my favourite was Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

This movie is a sequel to Man of Steel and a prequel to Justice League which I’m super excited about. Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash.. YES YES YES! *dreaming of an evil-free world* I’m also waiting to see how the director is going to bring back Superman in this movie.

If I have to explain the previous sentence, then you’ll probably curse me for giving out too much information about Batman v Superman so I’ll end this here. If you’ve watched the movie and know what I’m talking about let’s discuss this further in the comments section. 😉

On a sad note, I broke two new makeup products! I’m usually not this clumsy but then this happened. Boohooooooo :'(

Why? Why? Why? I’m completely heartbroken. I don’t think I would feel so bad if I dropped my phone and the screen shattered. Urrrrrghhhhhhhh!

Last but not the least, I’m extremely happy with this month’s Fab Bag. More on that in my next post which will be up on the blog tomorrow morning.
