Bring on the Blush: 4 Everyday Wear Cream Blushers

When I was so enthusiastic about publishing this post yesterday CRASH! my laptop slipped out of my hands and fell and the screen was damaged. *wails* I was so depressed that I just couldn’t concentrate on anything and so I settled down on the couch near the window with this month’s issue of Cosmopolitan and Good Housekeeping with a cup of hot chocolate (a cuppa hot chocolate on a rainy day is all you need to drown your sorrows and miseries!!). So finally this post found its way on the blog today. Apologies for the delay in posting this one!A cream blush is THE product you need to fake a glow! I have extremely dry skin (I’m sure you’ve heard this a zillion times! but I just cannot stop myself from mentioning it in each and every post :P) and the one product I need to give me that instant glow is a cream blusher (which gives me a reason to skip tedious skin care routines and diets which promise to make my skin glow! Baaah!)

I had always wished that I could be one of those of lucky girls who could get up early in the morning and look fresh! Even if I get my so called beauty sleep I always looked like a nightmare until I discovered cream blushers.

Here are four cream blushers I use on an everyday basis. These colors look great on all skin tones (except NYX  Natural maybe).

NYX Tea Rose:
A lovely peachy neutral color which imparts a natural glow! Suitable for all skin tones.
Price: $6.75 for 3.5g

Inglot AMC 94:
A warm brownish peach blush which is a little difficult to blend. Although it looks extremely creamy in the pot, it translates as a matte finish on the skin when blended.
Price: 750 INR for 5.5g

NYX Natural:
Natural is a cool tone pink. This one would suit fair skin tones. I have problems using this when I get tanned (which I do pretty easily).
Price:$6.75 for 3.5g

NYX cream blushers are extremely creamy and I’ve heard quite a few complaints on how it leaves the cheeks looking oily and greasy. Just dust on a little translucent powder on top of the blush (very little so that the greasiness disappears yet you’re left with the glow!) and you’re done!

Lakme Cheek Artist Blusher: Kiss of a Rose:
A pinkish neutral blush which would suit all skintones.
Price: 395 INR for 6g

Here’s how NYX Tea Rose looks on me:

Hope this post was useful to those of you with dry skin! The key to using a blush is to use little at a time and blend blend and blend!!
