Purple Smokey Daytime Eye makeup tutorial

By Upasana (Entry #4)

Hi all 🙂

Today I will be doing a smokey look, using my favorite colors, I,e, purple !! Umm.. this is quite simple 😀 and doesn’t requires that much blending. So without wasting time, lets start the tutorial ..

Step 1 :- Prime & apply base eyeshadow
I started by applying a solid navy blue color pencil all over my lid, and blended it well with my ring finger.

Step2 :- Apply purple eyeshadow
I chose a matte purple eyeshadow, but you can use any purple shadow with what so ever finish. Make sure to pack it over the lid well, where the blue pencil was blended.

Step 3:- Add depth to crease
Then using a pointed fluffy brush , I picked up some matte black shadow, and ran it across the crease, just to add a bit of depth without going overboard. You can leave it like that, if you’re ok with it, or wait for next step 😛

Step4 :- Blend crease
To make the black a little supple I blended it with a brown shadow. This was done to avoid making the look like a drag queen’s makeup, but just to make it subtle and more wearable.
Step 5 :- Line your eyes and highlight

At last I brushed a small dot of white pencil over the brow bone, blended it and set with a white matte eyeshadow. Tightlined my eyes, filled the waterline with a white pencil (optional), and lined the upper lash line thickly, and smoked it with a black eyeshadow to remove any starkness . Finished up with lots of mascara
