Colorbar Eyeshadow: 05 Expensive Pink: Review/Swatch/EOTD

By Lee (Entry #4)

Hello Beauties,

I’m back again another Colorbar gem 😀 Today I’ll be reviewing 05 Expensive Pink.

Product Claims

The eyeshadow is a pigmented powder that gives the eyes a shine and pearl like effect. Ultra fine in texture,it is easy to blend while its moisturizing agent keeps your eyelids soft and smooth. The product is long lasting and fade resistant.

Price: Rs 300 for 3 gms
Best before 3 yrs of manufacturing

Like all Colorbar Single Eyeshadows this too comes in a silver packaging with a transparent lid which makes it easier to find a particular eyeshadow in a hurry. The packaging is divided into two compartments. The top half containing the eyeshadow & the lower half has a small round mirror & a curved sponge applicator.

Texture:The texture of Expensive Pink is really smooth & litreally glides on your eyes.

Pigmentation: Very highly pigmented. You do not require a primer to get a good colour pay off.

Staying Power: Excellent staying power.Stays for 6-7 hrs without a primer with just a bit of creasing.

Expensive Pink is a plumish pink shade with slight red undertones .It has very fine plum colored shimmer which gives it a nice sheen without looking OTT.

This is the perfect eyeshadow to do a subtle smokey look with. All I do is apply Expensive Pink all over the lid & lightly blend a black eyeshadow in the crease. It also looks good used as a single eyeshadow all over the lid. I also did not face any fallout with this particular eyeshadow.

It is a very versatile shade & can be paired with western outfits as well as ethnic wear.

The applicator provided is of very good quality and I still use it for applying other eyeshadows even after buying an eyeshadow brush 😀
Pros:
  • Soft & Smooth Texture
  • Highly Pigmented
  • Stays for 6-7 hrs without getting patchy that too without a primer
  • No Fallout!!
  • The sponge applicator is of good quality
Cons
  • I wish the applicator wasn’t so curved & tiny
