NYX cream blushes: Review and Swatches

Choosing the right blush colour is a mammoth task but once you know what colour suits you then it’s a feeling that cannot be described by words! I was searching (and searching and searching..) for a cream blush for everyday use. Since I have extremely dry skin powder blushes are not my kind unless and until I like the colour and have no choice.

So on Zara’s recommendation I picked up NYX’s Tea Rose for myself and Glow for my mom. Both were gorgeous colour,

Tea Rose is a light peachy colour very much suitable for everyday use. For those of you who prefer less colour on your cheeks for a subtle look or if you are new to blushes and would love to try cream blushes this one is for you.

Glow is a beautiful bright pink colour which needs to be used carefully otherwise the nearby circus might hire you to be their clown! But if used properly, it looks so beautiful and is perfect for special occasions.

  • Very pigmented.
  • Lasts on the cheeks for quite a while
  • Quantity is quite sufficient to last you for a long time
  • Very creamy and easily blendable

As of now I don’t find any dislikes with this one.

Great product and Tea Rose is a must have for all of you who are new to blushers!

  • Hi Deepika, Nice post and reciew/ swatches. I don’t know why I am holding myself back from getting them. Look so natural and glowy. Do you recommend it for oily skin?

  • I like both the colors…. 🙂

  • @Eesha: Thank you Eesha and welcome to Divassence! Cream blushers on oily skin tend to make your skin look oiler and shinier. For acne prone skin cream blushers are not good. I would recommend powder blushers to cream ones for oily skin, anyday. Cream blushers are more suited for dry to normal skin.

@Shruthi: Thank you! Do you use blushers?

  • No am scared…. i have oily acne prone skin 🙁

  • Thanks dear. That is why I was kindda holding myself back from buying this stuff. 🙂

  • Shruthi, why don’t you try powder blushes?

  • @Eesha: But the colors are really pretty. probably you can find a good powder blush substitute 🙂

  • I fear they would break me out :-9

  • Even powder blushers is it?why dont you try a good brand and see how it reacts to your skin? you cant give up on blushers without trying 🙂 you will get to know which products are right for you only by trial and error.. 🙂

  • Ya i do want to try blushes, but waiting for my acne and the scar to fade. Am planning to start with maybelline. wat do u say?

  • Maybelline is not that great when it comes to powder blushes and the staying power is not great. Try colorbar. 🙂 they have great powder blushes.. pigmented ones..And stays on for a long time.. But I have no clue whether it will cause a breakout..

  • Sure thanks! will definitely try colorbar!

  • these r so gorgeous na Deeps?? m actually wearing glow tday 🙂 🙂 u shud try getting boho chic next…its a nice mild pink and so pretty…
