Avon Simply Pretty Nailpolish: Sweet Pink: Review/NOTD

By Ghayathri
Hi everyone!

Hope everyone is having a good week πŸ™‚ The next one in this series will be………. SWEET PINK from the N*des and Browns category

Ingredients : Not mentioned
Price : Rs.85 for 5ml but almost always it is available on offers
Availability : Only through Avon representatives.
The shade is not a pink, it is actually a n*de shade with a hint of pink. It is a very versatile shade, something which you can grab without thinking much about whether it would suit what we plan to wear or not. But it would be more suited and fitting for office-goers (the perfect party wear shade is the next one in our series ;)).

Drying time was around one minute. The second coat took longer to dry completely. One thing to note about this shade is that it easily forms impressions, especially after the second coat so no nose scratching or adjusting your hair till this dries off completely or you will be left with an unintended nail art on your fingers πŸ˜›

The finish is creamy. One coat gives you a sheer finish, it will definitely need two coats for an opaque finish. It lasted on me for 3-4 days, comparatively lesser than cool coral but that’s enough for its price

The packaging was good, I don’t want to sound repetitive by repeating what has already been said in the previous review, refer here for more details regarding the packaging. The brush was better and the application wasn’t streaky (yay! )

Dupe list : Who wouldn’t love to own a high-end product? Or atleast something which looks like it? Everyone, right? So here are a few high-end dupes of this nail paint, now you know what to do when you feel like owning a Chanel or MAC nail paint don’t you? πŸ˜‰

  • MAC Ke Ai (similar shade but with a frost finish)
  • Chanel Frisson 543 Le Vernis (similar shade but with shimmers)
  • Chanel Rose CachΓ© 521 Le Vernis
  • Don’t Pretzel My Buttons
  • Nice neutral n*de shade
  • Good staying power
  • Non-streaky application
  • Good quality brush
  • A dupe of many high-end nail paints πŸ˜› πŸ˜‰
  • Pocket friendly price
  • No ingredients list is mentioned
  • Takes a long time to dry
  • Shade given in the catalogue does not match the original shade
  • Available only through Avon representatives
Final word: With the exception of availability issues and drying time, I have absolutely no complaints regarding this shade Β Grab one soon!
How well do you know your simply pretty polishes? Here’s a clue for you guys to guess the next one I’ll be reviewing : A shade synonymous with glamour and true to it’s name – Keep guessing!
