Tips and Tricks for Summer Kicks!: Ice Ice Baby!

I’m the kind of girl who loves going out at any time of the day, be it 12 at noon or 4 early morning! And it is the same throughout the year, be it is summer or winter. But, there are a few simple things I do to keep the heat off the bay and protect my skin from bearing the brunt of my so called “adventurous” nature. And one of them is this.

I drink a glass of green tea first thing in the morning and it keeps me going through the day. I use the tea leaves instead of the bags and once I strain the tea, I add another glass of water to the leaves and leave it for about 20 minutes. And then I strain it and fill the ice tray with the second extract of  green tea.
You can do the same with tea bags too.

So here’s a list of what this can be used for:
  • Simply take one and rub it on your face and let it soak into your skin. Green Tea is known for its anti-ageing properties.  I use one on my face in the morning and one when I come back home from work or any outing.
  • You can add this to any of your drink for the added flavor and goodness.
  • You can also take 2 ice cubes and add it to your face pack along with rose water. That would make any face pack perfect for summer.

You can try this making this with anything from lemon juice, tulsi extract, vegetable juice to even aloe vera!

A tip for those who detest eating bittergourd: I agree too much of bitter gourd or bitter gourd in its concentrated form isn’t good for health but here’s what you can do to incorporate it in your diet in small quantities: grind bitter gourd with twice the quantity of water,  extract the juice, and freeze it into ice cubes. You can add one of this everyday in your vegetable juice. Bitter gourd not only reduces cholesterol levels but also helps to clear the skin of acne.
