The Nature’s Co. Cocoa Scrub: Review

Have you guys watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Did the chocolate river, waterfall make you drool and wonder when you would be surrounded by only chocolate and bathe, eat, sleep chocolate? Well, I have and this chocolate scrub was a dream come true for me!

All you need to know about The Nature’s Co:

The Nature’s Co. is a one stop place for all holistic and completely natural beauty and wellness products. Based on the idea –  “nature” is the way of life. All their products contain natural ingredients that are against animal cruelty, vegan and of best quality from across the globe. They products are manufactured using natural hill spring water and contain natural preservatives instead of synthetics such as parabens to enrich and revive your senses.

Before man discovered advanced survival techniques, he lived off the 5 purest forms of nature – air, sun, forest, earth and water. These forms have inspired five distinct creations of body and bath products: Atmospure, Starrize, Foressence, Earthborne and Aquaspark designed to soothe your mind, body and soul.

Atmospure: Inspired from the atmosphere, the oxygenating process of the products in this range feel like a breath of fresh air.

Starrize: Inspired from the sun, these products provide nourishment much like the sun. But at the same time, they protect, especially against harmful radiation and its effects. Relaxes your body and re-establishes inner balance at stressful times leaving your body with a beautiful golden glow.

Foressence: captures the very essence of the forest produce, the products carry strong and captivating fragrances and nourishment to replenish the body.

Earthborne: Minerals and mud carry nurturing qualities of the soil. Enriching and reviving, the products of this range are truly born from the earth itself.

Aquaspark: Inspired from the water, the name brings together the rich aquatic ingredients that hydrate and replenish.

Ive never used a body scrub ever! (the only exception would be the green gram flour I used previously :p ) So when I had a chance to try this one out I was excited to see the outcome. Armed with the scrub when I went for my bath I was happy and excited and when I came out I was happier!
Here’s what The Nature and Co says about the scrub:

The Nature’s Co Cocoa Body Scrub is everything a scrub should be. It has walnut and cocoa grits which makes for the scrub part and  coconut oil, wheatgerm oil, almond oil and vitamin-E to make your skin soft. Ive used it about 7-8 times now and it has made my skin  softer than I expected it would. I have extremely dry skin and to say it is soft now is like a great achievement! But despite this I have had to use a body butter after using the scrub to ensure the softness lasts me throughout the day and my skin is moisturized.

Packaging: It has a flip open cap which is hygienic and convenient. The packaging tube is quite thick and so it is travel friendly. The only reason why you may not want to carry it around everywhere is because it is pretty heavy πŸ˜›

The smell of cocoa is heavenly! It lasted on me for 2-3 hours. I just wish it lasted longer.

Price: Rs 975 for 250 ml

How I use it: I take a little and massage it on my skin. You dont need a lot for the entire body so this will last you for quite sometime.

What I like about the scrub:
  • The lingering  fragrance of cocoa on my skin. Love it!
  • It makes my skin soft and it also moisturizes it to an extent
  • The walnut and cocoa grits are not hard on the skin and that is a bonus
  • Flip cap is convenient to use and hygienic
  • Not tested on animals
  • Natural Ingredients go into the making of this skincare products. So you don’t need to worry about SLS, SLES and Parabens πŸ˜€

What I didn’t like:
  • The price! I felt it was a little too expensive for the quantity
  • Wish the fragrance lasted longer

Ive heard sooo many people raving about the coffee scrub from The Nature’s Co. and I have always wondered what was so special about their products and finally I got a chance to try out a few great products and I must say Im in love with this brand.

There is a shininess to the scrub which Im guessing must be cocoa butter.  Finally if I had to give a verdict it would be that this scrub spells  COCOA MOKSHA! I would give it a 4/5  πŸ™‚
